Elmar Barmettler

Tradition, a deep connection to nature & passion for forward-thinking agriculture

Elmar Barmettler, a federally certified retail economist, has been a driving force in trade and marketing for many years. His career began as the youngest Swiss franchisee of Spar Handels AG, before deepening his expertise at Migros Lucerne, where he led marketing for fruit and vegetables and was responsible for the agricultural wholesale trade.

Today, Elmar runs BaerglerArt GmbH together with his wife Nicole. Together, they operate a small farm where they lovingly care for rare Pro Specie Rara breeds. Their love for nature and animals provides a valuable balance to their entrepreneurial activities and to their commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Every summer, they spend a month on the alpine pastures, making traditional cheese and gaining valuable experience as producers – a practice that reflects their deep connection to the mountains and nature, and that embodies the principles of traditional farming.

Music and togetherness are just as much a part of their lives as their passion for nature. With BaerglerArt, Elmar and Nicole aim to share these values through their products and projects.

Creativity and nature in harmony

Nicole Barmettler combines creativity with entrepreneurial acumen. After training as a florist and business administrator, she gained extensive experience over the years in marketing, product management, and merchandising – expertise she now brings to BaerglerArt.

Nicole contributes her strong organizational skills to the company’s administration and supports various projects.

With her diverse professional background and keen eye for aesthetics, Nicole plays a key role in shaping the unique identity of BaerglerArt.
